Mr. Ambler at the BR Forum? Should be interesting, wish I could be there, but seems unlikely now that I am in the "billable hours" sector. See what Scott has to say about BPM, and IBM's rules acquisition.

Well we have Scott Ambler coming to talk about Agile at the Business Rules Forum/Enterprise Decision Management Summit but I don't know about BPMS/BRMS at Agile events. Interesting question, I shall have to look into it.

Hello James,

About Agile, I always get the feeling that it is certainly about delivering software faster, but the nature of the software is just the same as that produced by more 'plodding' approaches. I certainly don't get the feeling that any means of producing better, more flexible systems is used, like BPM and BRMS. I think Agile will reach its own level of diminishing returns if it focuses only on how to produce software without onsidering changing the nature of the software itself.
I know the Agile community has conferences where proponents meet and attend sessions. Have you presented at any of these? Are they interested?.
