How much analytical data can be realistically processed in this way. For example, will this work if I have 10 terabytes of data to store in an analytical database? 50 terabytes? 200 terabytes?

Mark, you are correct, thanks for clarifying this.

Specifically, we extended the functionality to author rules on multiple Excel sheets as well as adding an acceptance and validation framework which allows you to test complex rule sets.

Excel-based rules authoring has been very popular with our business users, since everyone already knows how to use Excel and it allows the rules to be structured and grouped in a very intuitive way.

We highly value open source projects and we have been thinking quite a bit about how we could best contribute back to the Drools community. We look forward to having that discussion with you and your team.

Yes imagine they have a lot of enhancements over our standard offering. Hmm wonder if they plan to contribute any of that back to open source :)

Not having seen the Drools Excel interface I cannot say what is different in the ADAPA implementation but they had some nice features particularly around mixing the rules with the analytics.
